Great Big Dance Off
On Monday the Dance department took 23 students to perform on the stage at the Alexndra Theatre in Birmingham. It was a wonderful day rehearsing with other schools across the Midlands where a group of Year 9 students had created their own routine during lunch times to perform at the event.
A group of Year 11s also choreographed their own piece incorporating tap, street and modern dance styles and finished off with our Year 10 dance students performing a contemporary piece they had learnt inspired by professional choreographers by Mrs Corboz. These experiences enrich the curriculum delivered in the dance studio and provide professional platforms to perform on. We are very proud of our dancers that represented QEGS at the event and look forward to other performances in the future.
